From 3 days old our puppies have gentle touching and handling exercises I do to develop their familiarity with humans. I have them introduced to scents from the same age. This is called ENS and ESI and certainly helps the puppies be the relaxed natures I am known for with my breeding program. So far, these puppies and their siblings are all the same level of confidence and they have beautiful body confirmation.
Joy had a larger litter than expected so we have one available puppy for a wonderful family or person. All puppies are the same size, there was no runt in the litter. Joy had a healthy natural birth and all puppies born in sacks and without meconium. Her birth took only 5 hours to deliver all 9. Joy was in peak health with a heat cycle between this and her previous litter (her first litter). Joy is 4 years old. Finnegan is also 4 years old. The babies are thriving and Joy is breastfeeding all of her puppies without us supplementing them.
